Course Layout

Planting Areas

Planting of indigenous trees and feature trees, i.e. Weeping Willows, Wild fruit trees, Rowan etc

Seclusion

The landscape scheme of the project has been designed to maximise seclusion between all playing areas, especially around tees and Green areas where possible. Contoured landscaping between holes offers great seclusion from other players.

The Golf Course site offers tremendous relief from polluted air, noise and the rigours of everyday life, disturbed only by those wonderful sounds of nature and the country side. The babbling brook to the northern boundary is only interrupted by the occasional hoot of the steam train which runs to the western side of the boundary. Exclusive woodland surrounds the site and offers a true natural escape to life’s hustle and bustle.

Since the development started wildlife has increased on the site, benefiting from the tranquillity and habitation especially around our pond and lake features.

The Technical Side

The Golf Greens & Tees

Within the construction to the highest USPGA specification and construction techniques, based on a stone drainage bed, binding layer and root zone mixtures of specified sand/soil and aggregates, through laboratory testing to achieve maximum performance

Fairway & Playing Areas

The original land benefits from a high quality top soil. All playing areas will have been extensively cultivated, graded and stone buried etc.

All areas benefit from selective sowing of grass seed mixtures most suitable for the required purpose, i.e. the short cutting of Golf Greens. The hard wearing and durable areas of Golf Tees and Fairways, rough and none playing areas are sown accordingly.

Drainage

The entire site benefits from the latest techniques and specified aggregates and materials, through mechanical trenching and laying perforated PVC drainage pipe in specified drainage stone.

The 9 hole par 3 short course.

A purpose built par 3 course over 9 acres of natural golf course features. Great for Academy golf and also good for budding players wishing to hone their skills. A good test of golf and great fun, certainlynot to be under estimated.
